Keep Oil Out of your Gen 2 B58 BMW Air Intake System!
It's no secret that B58 BMW turbo motors can suffer from oil control problems, causing oil to blow through and coat the intercooler and charge piping, gunking up intake valves and the VANOS system, lowering the effective octane, and generally degrading engine performance. The higher your boost levels, the more apparent these problems become.
The solution to this problem has finally arrived: the Burger Motorsports oil catch can. While there are other catch cans on the market, they all fall short in various areas. Some are mounted on the hot/turbo side of the motor, preventing proper vapor condensation. Others utilize hoses that are too small or runs that are too long, preventing proper PCV ventilation and causing internal motor and ring sealing issues. Some have insufficient or overly restrictive internal baffle systems. Others bypass the PCV system altogether, venting crankcase gas and odor to the atmosphere. Most are simply repackaged oil catch cans from smaller, lower power motors shoehorned into the turbo BMW engine bay.
To solve these problems, Burger Motorsports designed this oil catch can kit from the ground up specifically for the Gen 2 B58 turbo BMW application. It features 100% CNC machining with zero welding for a precision fit and long life. The can itself is guaranteed for the life of the vehicle. The hoses exceed OEM PCV piping diameter, and that flow rate is maintained throughout the entire oil catch can, ensuring no excessive crankcase pressure buildup. The BMS OCC retains the factory fully closed-loop PCV operation, preventing any PCV vapor from leaking to atmosphere. Mounting locations are selected to minimize line length, allow more efficient operation, and retain a stealth look. Installation takes around 20 minutes, includes all required hardware, and is 100% reversible. Simply unscrew the base of the can or use the drain plug to safely dispose of captured oil during oil changes.
New transparent oil catch can base now available as an option or sold separately as an upgrade here.
Requires either the BMS B58 G20 Billet Intake or the BMS B58 BMW M240i M340i Competition Cold Air Intake to fit. If you would like to retain the factory intake, you can use the BMS G20 B58 intake muffler delete to create the space needed for the can.

This precision-machined billet cap replaces the factory oil filler cap and creates a second dedicated exit point for dirty PCV gases. That means both the crankcase vent and the valve cover breather can now be routed into your oil catch can. Twice the inputs means twice the oil vapor capture, keeping harmful oil mist out of your intake tract. Cleaner air, cleaner intake valves, and a more efficient PCV system with a simple upgrade that delivers major payoffs.

The main advantage of a transparent can is that you can easily see the contents inside. This allows for quick checks on oil levels, contamination, and sludge buildup without needing to open the can.
⚠️ ATTENTION: The optional transparent can base is not suitable for use in regions where temperatures frequently drop to 32°F (0°C) or below.
