The JB4 is a plug-and-play Hyundai / Genesis performance tuner that connects to easy-to-access sensors in the engine bay and works with your factory ECU to optimize boost, timing, and fueling for stronger performance and reduced turbo lag.
Unlike basic tuning boxes, the JB4 includes a fully programmable CANbus system, upgradable firmware, and data logging. CANbus integration allows the JB4 to factor in pedal input, throttle position, gear, RPM, AFR, fuel trims, ignition advance, knock feedback, and more when controlling performance. It can also read and delete fault codes and includes safety strategies such as keeping boost lower until oil and coolant temperatures are up, and switching to a low-boost map if overheating, lean conditions, excessive knock, or overboost are detected.
The JB4 offers significantly more performance, functionality, and safety than an average performance chip. The default Map 1 runs about 4psi over stock peak, and maps (including stock and valet) can be selected on the fly using a BMS diagnostics cable or JB4 mobile adapter. Installation is discreet and fully removable with no trace when needed. Includes maps for 91 octane, 93 octane, and E85 (ethanol) mixtures. Fuel economy during normal driving is typically unchanged. Compatible with all driving modes.
Wirelessly Connect to your JB4: Our all-new JB4 PRO smartphone connection is included to wirelessly connect the JB4 tuner to your Bluetooth 4.0 compatible iOS or Android device. This option allows you to record and analyze vehicle and tuning data, change JB4 performance maps, and update JB4 firmware as we release free newer versions with updates, more powerful maps, and new features under development. Our new adapter fits fully inside the JB4 enclosure for enhanced weather protection and a more streamlined look. The JB4PRO Free app features an intuitive easy-to-use interface, help buttons, and advanced log analysis tools that can estimate the performance of your car and help identify any tuning concerns.

What is a JB4?
The JB4 is a plug-and-play tune for turbocharged vehicles. It installs between your car’s sensors and ECU and improves performance by controlling boost and related parameters through these connections. The JB4 stands out with advanced connection points and processing, including CANbus, fuel and spark control, Bluetooth app support, and safety systems. BMS publishes free mapping and firmware updates as ongoing development allows. The JB4 is not VIN locked and can be removed, transferred, or resold later.
Is the JB4 a real tune?
Yes. By tapping into specific sensors and CANbus for real-time data, the JB4 can alter boost, timing, AFR, and fuel trims similar to an ECU reflash, while retaining factory safety systems and without unlocking or flagging the ECU.
