NEW! Upgrade your plastic Gen 1 & 2 B58 BMW oil filter housing to metal!

An engine oil cooler and filter housing plays a critical role in maintaining optimal oil temperature, preventing the oil from breaking down under high heat and load, and filtering damaging particles out of your oil. The B58 BMW engine uses the engine’s coolant for thermal regulation of the oil. The problem is the OE housing is made out of brittle plastic. This part will suffer internal cracking and leaks at some point that lead to oil and coolant mixing, a known potentially catastrophic problem if left unchecked. Indicators like fluid leaks or “milkshake” oil might be noticeable if caught in time but it's just a matter of time. 

The solution is this complete metal housing upgrade with new gasket seals, oil filter cap, and heavy-duty oil filter, new bolts, and an upgraded oil cooler that all exceed OEM standards. If your B58 is stock, modded or has high(er) milage we recommend this upgrade.
